Course Details - Modules
There are six subject areas to the course: valuation, finance and investment; property management; planning and development; design, construction and appraisal of buildings; economics; and law. In your final year you will write a dissertation on a property-related subject. A special feature is the Professional Practice Test which involves a week away from Oxford. You will study a chosen city and development projects within it, completing group and individual tasks, as well as oral examinations. The tasks test your ability to integrate your expertise in different subject areas and apply it to real-world problems. We also offer a mentoring scheme to support your move from the academic environment into the world of work. Each student on the scheme is matched with a dedicated mentor, who they work with through their second year and into their final year.
