On our Communication, Media and Culture degree you'll study the media and creative and cultural industries - examining areas like audiences, industry practices and how they connect to our wider culture. The course is structured around the three key themes of communication, media and culture. You can focus on one theme, or on all three, according to your interests and career ambitions. Our teaching staff use a mix of theoretical and practical work. You'll learn the principles of communication across a range of media and cultural contexts. And you'll gain the key analytic and creative skills for your future career. You'll build a portfolio of skills to keep up with the changing nature of the industry. And learn how to: - exchange information - understand audience needs - create personal and business relationships over a variety of communication technologies and media platforms Oxford has many cultural institutions, and a flourishing new media industry. It is also home to world-leading broadcast, publishing and PR organisations.

You can select from a wide range of modules around the three key themes: • communication: addresses interpersonal, persuasive, linguistic, organisational, corporate, business, management, marketing, branding, and other dimensions of communication • media: engages questions of influence, consumption, journalism, audiences, propaganda, technologies, new media, web design, publishing and civic engagement, amongst others • culture: cultivates an understanding of key aspects of contemporary culture, including identity, youth, gender, globalisation, popular culture, television and film, music, urban environments, and more.
