Our HNC Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering course can be studied as a stand-alone qualification, or as the first year of the HND qualification. During this Level 4 course you will gain a broad understanding of mechanical and manufacturing principles. Delivered alongside the HNC Electrical & Electronic Engineering, our expert tutors will give you a strong, sector-related emphasis on practical skills, and will help you to develop your existing knowledge of engineering. You will be able to expand your understand of mathematics, modern design, and manufacturing techniques, as well as electrical principles to give you a broad understanding of all industrial needs. During the course you will cover three core modules. During these modules you will explore the details and principles that underpin analytical methods and engineering science. You will also undertake a personal project that will require you to use your creative abilities to design, implement and evaluate a solution to an engineering problem. You may also decide to expand your knowledge in advanced computer-aided design techniques, and the application of pneumatics and hydraulics to complete the qualification.
