Our Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering degree top-up course is suitable for you if you have already achieved a Level 5 (HND) qualification in Engineering. You will build on the knowledge and skills you have attained from previous study to expand your learning of mechanical and manufacturing engineering processes. You will learn how to interpret mechanical engineering design and create computer models for simulation and analysis. You will also learn methods of complex stress analysis and how structures react and respond under load. You will work with your fellow engineering students to identify and propose an innovative approach to problem solving. You will be free to explore and develop skills in a range of engineering disciplines, using your creativity to solve problems, while paying particular attention to codes of practice, safety, the environment, and limitations of particular methods.
You can study this top-up course full-time for one year, or part-time for two years, Either option will provide you with a comprehensive understanding of the principles and applications of engineering, and the skill base of an Incorporated Engineer.
