Course Summary

**This course is primarily designed for face to face learning with you attending your lessons for the specified hours within the validation document. However, there may be periods of study where the government advises TEC Partnership that it is not safe to open campuses or there is limited access due to social distancing measures. If the Campus is closed TEC Partnership will continue to deliver your sessions online and offer you the necessary support and resources remotely. If there is limited access due to social distancing measures a blended model will be adopted with some lessons happening in small groups and others happening using online sessions and support.** Join our TEAM; Together Everyone Achieves More. On this Foundation Degree you will study a range of modules covering different sport, exercise and health related topics such as anatomy, sports coaching, nutrition and fitness instruction and training. Throughout the programme you will be given the opportunity to research your chosen areas of interest relating to sport, exercise and health. During the second year of the programme a work-based placement will be incorporated in to one of the modules and will be linked to an assessment. The work-based placement will give you the opportunity to experience a real working environment related to your studies and to enable you to develop a range of industry specific skills. Once you’ve successfully completed the degree you’ll have a clear understanding of the industry, relevant practical skills, as well as the academic understanding that will allow you to progress onto the BSc (Hons) Sports Coaching and Health Sciences (Top Up), or into employment.
