Course Summary

**This course is primarily designed for face to face learning with you attending your lessons for the specified hours within the validation document. However, there may be periods of study where the government advises TEC Partnership that it is not safe to open campuses or there is limited access due to social distancing measures. If the Campus is closed TEC Partnership will continue to deliver your sessions online and offer you the necessary support and resources remotely. If there is limited access due to social distancing measures a blended model will be adopted with some lessons happening in small groups and others happening using online sessions and support.** Do you want to understand human behaviour and become more self-aware? This course will develop your technique and enhance your counselling toolbox. This course is designed to provide students with a broad and balanced knowledge and understanding of contemporary approaches to counselling in relation to working with adults in all relevant employment areas. There are 3 key themes in the programme: knowledge of contemporary counselling approaches and the practical application of such knowledge in relation to working with a client, the professional development of counselling practitioners and the development of such within a placement setting and the personal development of the counsellor in training in terms of awareness of self in relation to self and others.
