Course Summary

**This course is primarily designed for face to face learning with you attending your lessons for the specified hours within the validation document. However, there may be periods of study where the government advises TEC Partnership that it is not safe to open campuses or there is limited access due to social distancing measures. If the Campus is closed TEC Partnership will continue to deliver your sessions online and offer you the necessary support and resources remotely. If there is limited access due to social distancing measures a blended model will be adopted with some lessons happening in small groups and others happening using online sessions and support.** Can you create tomorrows technology then start here! The Foundation Degree (FdSc) in Computing is designed to give students a choice of progression including completing a top up year to a full degree with The University of Hull or directly into employment in the computing industry. During the course you will have the opportunity to develop software using C# and web languages such as HTML, CSS, PHP and MySQL as well as creating games, building networked systems and creating physical computing solutions using Arduinos or Raspberry Pi. These are often real world problems that you will be solving either through our in house web hosting company Enterprise Solutions or through your work placement. The course involves a substantial work placement element. Applicants choosing the foundation degree will be expected to study 12 modules including the two work-based learning modules. All programmes are led and taught by experienced teaching staff who are vocational specialists. They are qualified, and often have extensive experience within the industry or the sector being studied. All teaching staff meet or exceed the requirements set by the awarding institute or body.
