Our full-time Business with Finance degree gives you the skills and confidence to excel in your career. With a strong focus on strategic thinking and financial management, our course also embraces hands-on learning. Get practical experience with our Bloomberg Financial Markets Lab in Chelmsford, and an optional placement year. Get all the prowess of a business degree, with the financial discipline to make big, informed decisions. The structure of this course brings together the entrepreneurial approach and analytical mindset you need to succeed. ARU’s teaching facilities include our Bloomberg Financial Markets Lab, where you’ll be able to practice your skills from the first year. It will be your safe space to try, fail, and eventually learn all the tricks of the trade – without the stress of doing it on the job. This way, you’ll be ready for your first graduate role with proficiency in contemporary platforms used around the financial world. And receiving an industry-recognised Bloomberg certification upon graduation will only increase your pool of career options. Course Details – Assessment Method

You’ll be assessed by examination, coursework, essays and activity based assignments. Your coursework could include problem-solving activities, consultancy projects, presentations, computer-based exams, a portfolio based on Bloomberg trading and group or individual reports. You'll also be able to access support materials through our Learning Management System (Canvas).

Standard Qualification Requirements


5 GCSEs at grade 3, or grade D, or above, (or equivalent) plus evidence of having attempted two years of post GCSE study at level 3. Students who have achieved a minimum of 1 A level (or equivalent), will be exempt from the two year post GCSE requirement (as stated above) but must still hold 5 GCSEs (as stated above). Students without English as their first language will be expected to demonstrate a certificated level of proficiency of at least IELTS 5.5 (Academic level with at least 5.5 in each of the four components) or equivalent English Language qualification, as recognized by Anglia Ruskin University.
