Course Summary

The BSc Marketing is accredited by the Chartered Management Institute (CIM) and provides you with the professional skills employers really need. Marketing is at the core of any organisation. Great marketers help to define the way a company thinks, operates and communicates in order to shape the public’s perception of a brand. This course teaches you the fundamentals of brand management and marketing in the wider context of business management, ensuring you understand the full breadth of the marketing function within a business. Optional modules in topics including social media, retail marketing and entrepreneurship allow you to specialise and develop valuable skills in emerging marketing fields. We incorporate as much hands-on experience and professional training as possible and we work very closely with the CIM to give you access to fantastic guest speakers, business partners and professional resources. The course is very popular with students, receiving 92% satisfaction in 2017's National Student Survey. This reflects the fact that our students receive fantastic support and graduate from the course feeling fully prepared for their future careers.

Course Details – Assessment Method

We’ll assess you in a way that will mirror some of the tasks you will be expected to carry out in the workplace. These include reports and presentations, producing a portfolio of work, delivering a business pitch, producing and analysing a case study, conducting a business simulation or producing a marketing plan. Throughout the course you’ll be given feedback to help you improve and you will have to sit a small number of tests and exams, depending on which options you choose.
