Standard Qualification Requirements


Normal entry is achieved by holding qualifications that equate to 240 CATs (Credit Accumulation and Transfer) points; 120 of them at Level 4 and 120 at Level 5 acquired in the fields of business, management or public administration. This requirement will normally be met if you hold an appropriate BTEC HND qualification, Foundation Degree or Level 5 Diploma in Business & Management. Usually it will be expected that you have achieved at least a Merit standard in the modules making up the final level of your BTEC studies. European applicants should hold 60 European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System credits. Students who do not have English as a first language, IELTs Level 6 or above (or equivalent) will be required. What if I don't hold these qualifications: If you have suitable alternative qualifications in an appropriate field of study you may also be admitted to the programme. Accreditation of Prior Learning (APL): If you have previously studied on a similar award and have gained higher education credit at an equivalent level it may be possible to take this into account to gain exemptions from one or more modules.
