Who is it for? For students wishing to continue studying after completing their relevant HNC, the Higher National Diplomas in Mechanical Engineering cover the fundamental concepts, principles and theories of Mechanical engineering; analysis and design; practical and technical skills, and transferable business skills relevant to Engineering. It is offered as a progression route from the HNC Mechanical programme. It is designed to enhance the mathematical, practical and team leading skills of individuals who want to further their career as an Engineering Professional.

What will I study? All the units we offer have been chosen to meet a broad range of local industry needs. Common Units: Research Project, Professional Engineering Management, Further Mathematics. •Mechanical Units: Advanced Mechanical Principles, Virtual Engineering.

Assessment will be by Assignment, and will combine, essays, with practical activities and filed trips to relate theory to practical and enable case studies to be used.
