Leadership and Management in Integrated Services Top Up (Distance Learning)
Course Summary
**Overview**
This programme is designed for anyone who would like to learn more about management and leadership in health, social care and education. It will help to develop the necessary knowledge and analytical skills, as well as provide an overview of the organisational, legal and policy contexts within which leaders and managers operate with a focus on the challenges and opportunities faced in these sectors. This programme is developed to support the career progression of managers who are currently in managerial posts based in a range of sectors from health, social care and education. The programme design is suited to those in full time employment. The distance-learning mode of delivery supports those in full time employment but allows flexibility of access to materials. This mode of delivery suits managers who have not got the opportunity to access a local provider or who have other commitments which prevent their attendance at an institution.
Aspects of generic business theory will be studied but applied to the workplace and reflection will be a key tool that practitioners will develop to enable them to review the context within which they work.
