Course Summary

**LLB Law (Hons) (Accelerated)** Take this fast track route and you could be on your way to a training contract or a pupillage within three years. This intensive accelerated route to the LLB (Hons) is an excellent choice for those wanting to qualify as a barrister or solicitor quickly, or those wanting to keep their career options open for countless professions where legal knowledge is invaluable. **Why choose this course?** Save time and money on this accelerated route, fast tracking you to being ready to start a pupillage or training contract for those wishing to pursue a career as a barrister or solicitor. **Is this course for you?** At a time when the profession is placing greater emphasis on social mobility and attracting people from more diverse backgrounds into the law, the two-year route offers extra flexibility and choice. It will be particularly valuable for those people whose circumstances make it difficult to study full time for three years. **How you will learn** Our accelerated degree entails a blend of face-to-face and self-directed learning. Each year you undertake two semesters’ worth of modules taught face-to-face on campus. The remainder of the modules are self-directed over the summer in a third semester. We offer optional modules covering a wide range of contemporary and stimulating legal areas so that you can tailor your degree to match your interests and career ambitions **Opportunities and experiences** Our professional partnerships open doors for you to benefit from placements and internships, judicial shadowing and mentoring by established lawyers. Through our new Student Legal Advice Centre, you can gain rewarding practical experience by supporting the wider community and helping people who might otherwise find it hard to access justice. **Careers and employability** Completion of the LLB represents the end of the academic stage of your training. To become a solicitor or barrister, you must then continue to complete the vocational stage of your training. LLB (Hons) graduates can also go on to take up roles as paralegals and chartered legal executives and can be found working in private practice, the Crown Prosecution Service, the courts, law centres, the police service, local and national government.
