This degree will give you the skills to apply the creative arts (dance, drama, art and music) in therapeutic ways to maintain and improve people’s physical and emotional wellbeing. **Facilities** You’ll be based in dedicated studios for music, art, dance and drama to learn about performance, exhibition and promoting wellbeing through facilitation of creative groupwork. **Teaching excellence** With our longstanding reputation for innovation and an enthusiastic teaching team of qualified artists and therapists, active researchers and industry practitioners, you can be sure that you will receive supportive, expert tuition every step of the way. **Work experience** You’ll be working in community settings from your first year of study and choose an area of your interest for your final year placement where you will be running workshops in the community. Through our established partnerships you could gain experience with arts groups, hospitals, hospices, schools, charities or other organisations supporting children and adults with disabilities. **Careers** By developing your transferable skills you’ll be able to specialise in an area of arts therapy or work across a variety of sectors. You may want to explore a role in: counselling and psychotherapy, community arts, art, dance, music or drama therapy or pursue a career in education, marketing or management. This course is also available with a Foundation Year.
