**BA (Hons) Business Management**
* This degree is for people who want to do business as well as learn about it. This broad degree could lead on to a wide variety of careers, such as in project management, consultancy, accountancy, operations, human resource management, marketing, sales, logistics and finance.*
**Why choose this course?**
Accredited by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI), you’ll spend the first year covering all aspects of business management to find out where your passions and talents lie. Then from year two, you can continue on a general Business Management pathway with plenty of optional modules, or choose a more specialist pathway that combines Business Management with: Business Technology, Enterprise, Finance, Human Resource Management, Marketing, or Supply Chain and Logistics.
**Is this course for you?**
Whichever pathway you choose, you won't be closing any doors; you will still gain a solid grounding in all of the key business disciplines.
**How you will learn**
From the get-go, you'll be thinking about how to apply what you're learning, through topical case studies, business simulations, real consultancy projects and work placements.
**Opportunities and experiences**
Ours was the UKs first course to guarantee every student an external Chartered Management Institute (CMI) mentor throughout their studies. Mentors coach you from a business perspective and demonstrate how management theory can be applied in the workplace. You'll also have the opportunity to take an optional placement year or summer internship.
**Careers and employability**
All pathways are accredited by the Chartered Management Institute, which means you gain an extra professional qualification on top of your degree as well as professional mentoring and access to CMI member benefits. Most of the specialist pathways are also approved by other professional bodies — the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) and the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD). These accreditations give you extra credibility and exemptions from future professional exams.
