Course Summary

This is the first year in an integrated four year programme of study, which includes an undergraduate degree. It is ideal if you want to become a professional engineer, but do not have the relevant subject grades to study engineering at degree level. The course gives you the core skills in science, mathematics, design and IT that are required to study engineering at undergraduate level. It is especially suitable if you are a mature student returning to study, or if you have entry qualifications below those required to start the full degree. On successful completion of Engineering Year Zero, you will progress to one of our selected undergraduate courses. The course aims to give you a solid understanding and an ability to use mathematical and scientific fundamentals that are needed in the first year of an engineering degree programme
