Course Summary

**Subject to validation** Aeronautical Engineering at De Montfort University (DMU) is a broad-based engineering course providing the experimental, computational and analytical skills required for careers in the aeronautical and aerospace industry. Our academics are active, renowned researchers in these industries and have developed specialist modules exploring aerodynamics and flight simulation. The UK aerospace and aeronautical industry is the largest in Europe and the second-largest in the world (second to the US). The sector has seen consistent growth in recent years and supports a growing number of high-skilled, high-value jobs. DMU has made a significant investment to establish modern aeronautical laboratories equipped with a low speed wind tunnel and will have a selection of simulation facilities including a professional (AMST Airfox DISO) flight simulator and specialist engineering software.
