We take a very practical approach to the course, focusing on the key sport and exercise science disciplines, while addressing sport performance and physical activity so you can graduate as a career-ready sports scientist.
We give you the flexibility to specialise in your chosen area, including: a case study working with an athlete or individual of your choice and a dissertation in an area which grabs your interest.
Course Details - Modules
During the year, there are 3 compulsory modules:- Applied Sport and Exercise Science, Dissertation (each 40 credits) and Placement (20 Credits). Plus one option of a 20 credit module from the choice of: Performance Analysis; Exercise for Health and Disease Prevention; Managing Community Events; Contemporary Issues in Health; Injury and Rehabilitation.
Course Details – Assessment Method
Course Work which may include written tasks and assignments, reports, dissertations, portfolio, project work = 60%. Practical exams = 10%. Written Exams = 20%

Standard Qualification Requirements
Passed Higher National Diploma in Sport and Exercise Science, to Level 5 or equivalent. Alternativley a Diploma in Higher Education in a Sport & Exercise Science or a relevant subject. GCSE English and Maths grade C/4 for above (or equivalent).
