Our BA (Hons) Web Design and Development (with Integrated International Foundation Year) is a four year course, specifically designed to provide international students with the English language and creative skills before they embark on year one of a degree. From building traditional websites to cutting-edge apps, learn the technologies and skills you'll need to succeed in this fast-growing sector on our BA (Hons) Web Design and Development degree. Based at UCA Farnham, this course covers it all - from front-end interactive design to back-end skeleton and database structures. You'll learn the key aspects of web development and programming, and develop your skills in HTML, CSS, javascript, PHP and User Experience (UX) through hands-on training in small classes. On this course, you will get vital industry-related experience, learning how to create stunning mockups and wireframes using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. You will also tackle challenges based on industry needs, such as learning advanced javascript, in order to develop HTML5 games. As part of the course, you'll benefit from a professional placement and build industry-relevant skills to ensure that you graduate ready for the workplace. This degree has the option of integrating an International Foundation or Foundation Year to begin your studies. There is also an option to include a Professional Practice Year, giving you the opportunity to experience industry first-hand between the second and third year of your studies.
