This degree has three levels (HE4, HE5, HE6), each comprising 120 credits. HE4 - This level you will study 3 units from a mixture of core units and elective units. At this level, the emphasis will be on the acquisition of skills and good working practice. You will be introduced to other’s work through directed and self lead research, and will be encouraged to reflect upon your learning journey. HE5 - This level you will study two core units. At this level, you will continue to develop and improve your skills and the quality of your work, whilst further underpinning your work with contextual research. You will start to develop a personal language and voice, and begin to articulate your own view, backed up by reasoned argument. HE6 - This level comprises 3 core units. At this final level, you will begin the transition from being a self motivated student to an independent artist/practitioner, demonstrating inventiveness, aesthetic judgement as well as originality. You will also gain an understanding of the professional arena and take ownership and responsibility of your practice.
