The Computing for Business degree is accredited by the Tech Partnership, an employer-led, not for Profit Company. Organisations involved with the curriculum design include IBM, Capgemini, CGI, Accenture, Barclays, Credit Suisse, Deloitte, Ernst & Young, Fujitsu, Goldman Sachs, Google, HP, John Lewis, Microsoft, Proctor & Gamble, and CA Technologies. Most of your classes will be based in the recently renovated ‘Dome’, Georgian exterior - modern interior. Students state they benefit from our decision to run small classes (typically less than 30) which enables easier communication with staff.

You will undertake four modules per semester, two semesters per year. The modules will allow you to explore different themes (visit our website for the most up to date structure) that combine over the three/four years you spend with us to give you the necessary breadth of skills that employers seek. Each module has one or more Learning Outcomes and to assess the understanding of these a mixture of assessment types are used, including reports, presentations and exams.

The standard entry requirement for this programme is IELTS 6.0 with no element lower than 5.5. However, you can begin your 3-year degree programme with IELTS 5.5. Our International Route allows you to take 4 credit-bearing modules in International English Studies (IES) as part of your first year studies. This means you study 4 modules in your chosen subject and 4 in International English. The IES Modules allow you to focus on personal language development and your use of English as an academic language. Then, at the end of your first year, you’ll have all the necessary language skills to transfer to full study of your main subject. If you have an IELTS score under 5.5 you can still begin a 3-year degree programme with us. In this case we provide a 5 or 10 week intensive Presessional Programme in English language and academic skills. For the 10 week Programme you’ll need IELTS 4.5, and IELTS 5.0 for the 5 week Programme.
