Zoology involves the study of biodiversity, ecology and human society in order to protect and manage species, habitats and ecosystems. The course aims to provide you with a wide skill set, and covers both local and global conservation issues while encouraging both a theoretical and applied approach to the subject.
This course offers great opportunities for those interested in nature conservation, in understanding how ecosystems function or in becoming part of a global scientific community. Our staff have both national and international experience, and use this when delivering teaching.
Within our Department, we currently have specialist expertise in a number of growing areas of conservation science, and may combine conservation knowledge with other areas to improve conservation research and teaching.
