The Department of Psychology at Chester offers both Single Honours and Combined Honours degrees. Many Psychology departments offer Single Honours degrees accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS). However, Chester is unusual in that it also offers accredited Combined Honours degrees for students who major in Psychology.

The coursework may involve a traditional essay or, more commonly, a workshop task, presentation, or a case study.
