Please note that the Welsh Baccalaureate and A Level General Studies will be recognised in our offer. We will also consider a combination of A Levels and BTECs/OCRs. GCSE English Language and Maths at grade C/4 or above are also required. Furthermore, students will be expected to have worked with young people in some capacity in a PE/sports coaching environment. Leadership and/or coaching qualifications, as well as examples of actual coaching and leadership experience would also be desirable. Successful applicants will also be required to complete an Enhanced Disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service and a Declaration of Health form. Prior to admission to this course, you will be required to obtain a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check through the University, for which there will be charge. The cost of the disclosure is currently £55:00. Applicants are strongly advised to subscribe to the Disclosure Update Service, payable directly to the DBS and currently costing £13:00. All students (except Internationals) on this programme will be eligible for a £500 cash bursary – only at level 3/Foundation Year. The tuition fee for the subsequent years of study on the full-time undergraduate degree will be charged at the undergraduate degree fee level. This fee is currently £9,250 a year for students starting in 2019 but this is subject to annual inflationary rises in line with inflation at that time, as measured by the Retail Price Index.
