A combination of forensic aspects with a thorough grounding in the traditional science of biology, in particular the molecular biology techniques and DNA profiling. The techniques learnt are transferable to other biological disciplines and provide a solid foundation for anyone wanting to study further. Teaching takes place at the Parkgate Road Campus.

Access to HE (Science) Diploma, to include 45 credits at level 3, 30 of which must be at Merit

26 points including 5 in Biology or Chemistry

BTEC Extended Diploma (Applied Science): DMM

One of these should include Biology, Chemistry or Human Biology
