English Literature: Over three years you will study a variety of texts from the earliest times to the present day. Through the study of stimulating texts you will develop a range of core skills which will be relevant after graduation to many different roles and employment opportunities.
Psychology: The Department of Psychology at Chester offers both Single Honours and Combined Honours degrees. Many Psychology departments offer Single Honours degrees accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS). However, Chester is unusual in that it also offers accredited Combined Honours degrees for students who major in Psychology.

Course Details – Assessment Method
English Literature: Assessment methods vary, and may include: coursework essays, seminar papers, oral presentations, resource-based learning exercises, portfolios, learning diaries, and a small number of formal examinations.
Psychology: Assessment methods for each module vary, but usually include coursework and examinations. The coursework may involve a traditional essay or, more commonly, a workshop task, presentation, or a case study.
Assessments are designed to develop your employability skills as well as allowing you to show your understanding of psychology.
