Animal Behaviour and Welfare (including a Foundation Year)
Course Summary
On this course, you will discover how the scientific study of animal behaviour and welfare is an exciting and rapidly changing field. It allows us to increase our understanding of the diverse ways in which non-human animals function and react to their environment. An animal’s welfare can range on a sliding scale from very poor to excellent; when managing animals in captivity or conserving them in the wild, it is important that we understand how we can try to meet their biological needs.
Foundation Year courses have been designed for students who do not have the necessary academic qualifications needed to enter directly into the first year of a degree but who have the ability and commitment to do so.
