- Our Sports Journalism Foundation Entry Degree gives you an insight into the practice of journalism and the skills and knowledge required by journalists.
- Foundation Entry degree courses are designed for students who have the ability to study for a degree, but don’t have the necessary formal qualifications to directly enter their chosen Honours degree programme.
- Life experience and a keen interest in news and current affairs are what counts if you don’t have traditional qualifications.
- As well as giving you a broad-based journalism education, you will develop both intellectually and personally.

Year 2: The Professional Sports Journalist 1, The Making of the Media, The Economics of the Media, Media Law and Regulation
Year 3: The Professional Sports Journalist 2, Sports Desk 1, Sporting Issues. Two options from: Football and the Media, Advanced Sports TV and Live Event Production, The Business of Journalism, Reporting Politics and Society, Data journalism, Photojournalism, Music Journalism
Year 4: Sports Desk 2, Work Placement, PLUS EITHER Journalism dissertation, OR Media Entrepreneurship OR Two modules from: Football and Popular Culture, Specialist Sports Journalism, Reporting Politics and Society, Future Media
