Course Summary

**Course overview** - Combine the physical and the intellectual, with a degree that brings together the science and practicalities of human movement with theories around the social impact of sport in education. - Our Sport and Physical Education BA (Hons) course is both intellectually stimulating and vocationally relevant. On one hand, it’s a chance to immerse yourself in the active work of physical education and human movement, while on the other, it’s also an opportunity to understand the environment in different socio-cultural contexts. - As such, you’ll find a good mix of classroom learning and physical activities – building your knowledge and skills through integrated and progressively developmental practical experiences that incorporates work placement and international opportunities. We’ve also designed the course to allow you to choose module options focusing upon units and activities that reflect your strengths and ambitions. - You’ll have the opportunity of a work placement in your second year, or to take a sandwich year between the second and third. In your final year, you’ll build on everything you’ve learned by tackling an independent project of your interest and choosing based upon research or consultancy. **Why study with us** - Our Sports Science courses are ranked 13th out of 78 institutions in the UK in the Guardian League Table 2021. - This course comes with membership of the Association for Physical Education (AfPE). - Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Sport and Physical Education is ranked 12th in the UK with 92% of students satisfied with learning opportunities (National Student Survey 2020)
