**Course overview**
- Turn a passion for sport and physical activity into an expert understanding of human movement – from the peak of elite performance to the fundamental health benefits of exercise.
- Whether it’s in the local park or on the world stage, sport and physical activity are incredibly powerful. Improving sporting performance to help individuals achieve their personal potential could mean turning a great athlete into a global star, but it can also mean helping a patient work their way out of chronic conditions. This course offers you the tools to make that kind of impact.
- You’ll study a range of modules that draw from physiology, psychology and biomechanics, giving you an in-depth understanding of the human body, the human condition and the mechanics of human movement. As such, it’s a multi-disciplinary course, which allows you to focus on modules in either Health and Fitness or Performance.
- Whichever path you take, you’ll find that it’s a hands-on degree, which will often take you out of the classroom and into either the lab or our sporting facilities. You can even make work experience with one of our industry partners a part of your studies. Then, in your final year, you’ll tackle a research project – giving you a deep dive into an area of sport and exercise science that interests you most.
