The BSc (Hons) Psychology course offers theoretical knowledge and practical application of psychology to real world problems. Students will learn about the mind and behaviour, enabling them to understand the way people act, react and interact. They will consider the roles of the brain and the nervous system upon behaviour, perception, mood and memory. The programme also includes specialised optional modules which provide students the opportunity to concentrate on specific areas of study within the field of Psychology: Forensic Psychology modules can support students in beginning to develop theoretical and practical considerations that can be helpful for future careers in Forensic psychology. Sport & Exercise Psychology modules can support students in specialising their study in the application of psychology in sport contexts. It is particularly relevant to those wishing to pursue future careers in Sport & Exercise Psychology.
