Course Summary

**Course overview** - This course is structured around the engineering capabilities that graduates require, rather than traditional academic sub-disciplines. Join a vibrant and active research community. - Our Manufacturing Engineering degree is based on mechanical engineering fundamentals combined with specialist modules in Automated Production and Advanced Manufacturing. - In addition to fundamental elements such as mechanics, materials, CAD/CAE/CAM and operations management, you’ll also develop skills in user needs and business plan development. - You’ll develop project work which presents an opportunity to integrate learning across the course. The MEng includes a higher-level project that enables you to apply your knowledge at a professional level, and a group project where you’ll demonstrate your ability to thrive within a team environment – a crucial skill that is highly valued in industry. **Why study with us** - Engineering at the University is ranked in the UK's top 20 (the Complete University Guide 2020). - Our course is linked with the Advanced Manufacturing Technology research centre and the Jost Institute of Tribotechnology. - Benefit from the latest high-quality equipment available in our new £35m Engineering Innovation Centre.
