Course Summary

**Course overview** - Want to design the games you play? Develop games and learn design, animation and digital modelling from industry professionals on our Games Design Foundation Entry Degree. - Foundation Entry degree courses are designed for students who have the ability to study for a degree but don’t have the necessary formal qualifications to directly enter their chosen Honours degree programme. - Your studies unfold via a series of games design projects. Some are individual, some are collaborative and some are live briefs set by industry, such as Game Jam. These projects allow you to explore every aspect of games design and develop your own personal practice. - Complementary to the project work is a series of lectures and demonstrations designed to develop the skills you’ll need to become a successful games designer. **Why study with us** - Work on live projects from the games industry, working to real deadlines, getting the chance to express your own creative ideas and skills through your project work. - Take part in the University’s annual Games Design and Animation Virtual Degree Show. It showcases the talents of final year students through Degree Show projects. - Grab the opportunity for structured work experience, which may include a work placement, an internship, a live business project and more.
