**Course Overview**
- The way that we learn and develop as children underpins our entire lifespan and lies at the heart of our Education & Psychology Foundation Entry course.
- Explore learning, memory, thinking and language, as well as the problems encountered by young people in education, such as learning difficulties and social or emotional challenges.
- In Year 1, you’ll study the core areas of cognitive, social, psychobiology and developmental psychology.
- In Years 2 and 3, you’ll study specific modules about the application of psychology in educational settings.

Year 2: Introduction to Education Studies, Education for Everyone?, Observing Education in Action (a placement module), Methods and practice of psychological inquiry, Introduction to Developmental and Social Psychology, Introduction to Psychobiology and Cognition
Year 3: A choice of Education modules from the following:
Preparing for Academic Writing and Research in Education, Models of Teaching and Learning, Sociology and Education, Experiential Learning in Educational Settings (a placement module), Diversity and Inclusive Practice with Children and Adults, Student Initiated Module (20 credits), Student Initiated Module (10 credits).
