**Course Overview** - If you’re aspiring to teach history at secondary school level or beyond, our Education and History Foundation Entry programme could start your journey. - On the Education side of this course, you’ll develop an understanding of educational theories, policies and practice. You’ll apply these to past and present educational issues. - With our History modules, you’ll cover different periods, topics, places and approaches, from early modern times to contemporary history. You’ll study different regions including North America, Europe, Asia and Africa. - A Foundation Entry course such as this one is ideal if you’ve got the ability to study for a degree, but don’t have the necessary formal qualifications to directly join an honours programme. It’s a great stepping stone to a full degree. **Why study with us** - There is a work placement opportunity within an educational setting at each stage of your degree. - You’ll have an option to study the Community History Project, which involves working to a project brief devised by a real client. - Our Education Team host regular trips to destinations such as Cyprus, China and other international locations.
