**Course Overview** - On our BSc (Hons) Biomedical Science (Foundation Entry) course you’ll learn all about health and disease, developing your knowledge of how the human body functions and gaining the skills you need to progress to a full honours degree. - Our foundation entry degree courses are ideal if you’ve got the ability to study for a degree but you don’t have the qualifications needed to directly enter the full honours degree programme. During the foundation year we’ll equip you with the essential knowledge and understanding of theoretical and practical science skills you’ll need to succeed at degree level. - We’ll support and encourage you to develop your critical thinking and gain the skills and confidence you need to thrive at University. Once you’re on this course, there’s no need to make an additional application and you won’t have to attend an interview to progress to Year 1 of our Biomedical Science degree (entry requirements apply). - Throughout the course you’ll develop a range of laboratory-based and theoretical skills associated with sound scientific practice.
