Course Summary

This integrated degree in Electronic and Computer Systems Engineering will provide you with the skills needed to work with both software and hardware to design exciting electronic and computer-based systems. Embedded systems are ubiquitous in the modern world and their use will grow with the advent of the Internet of Things and the needs of Industry 4.0. You will gain a thorough grounding in electrical and electronic theory, signals and systems as well as computer programming. You will cover embedded system programming as well as networks and cyber security, addressing the professional and ethical considerations of digitisation. The skills you gain during the course will equip you for graduate roles in this expanding sector. The programme is industry focused, offering opportunities for industrial placements. This programme is seeking accreditation with the Institution of Engineering and Technology on behalf of the Engineering Council for the purposes of meeting the academic requirement for registration as a Chartered Engineer. The course has been designed to meet the needs of accreditation and with a view to back dating the effective date to include all students who graduate from the programme.
