This course is fundamental for those who want to study art and design. If you want to learn in a creative environment that encourages artistic exploration, then this course is perfect for you.
1ST TERM
At the beginning of the first term you will be guided in choosing your specialism disciplines most suited to you (3D Design, Fashion, Visual Communication). With support and advice from your lecturers you will also consider which universities you wish to apply to.
2ND TERM
In the second term you will apply the skills gained in your first term to a number of projects and live briefs from within specialism disciplines of Fashion, 3D Design or Graphics & Illustration. You will also explore a variety of themes relevant to environmental, social and political issues as you develop your portfolio and prepare for university interviews.
3RD TERM
In the third term you will consolidate your practice through a self-directed project. At the end of term, you will showcase your work through an exhibition or show and celebrate your achievements at our graduation ceremony.
WE PROVIDE
To help our young artists we provide a portfolio case and art box of essential requisites. Specialism materials are also available in our workshops and studios. We also provide access to all the adobe software (Photoshop, InDesign, Premier Pro, After Effects and more) and free colour printing, access to an in studio library, a photography studio, and materials needed for print making, plus access to our 3D studio with laser cutter and 3D printer and vacuum former.
