During the course you will gain a wide range of sector knowledge tied to practical skills gained in research, self-study, directed study and workplace scenarios. You will also have the opportunity to undertake a Level 2 Fitness Instructor or Level 3 Personal Trainer qualification during your course.

Course Details – Assessment Method

Your knowledge will be tested through a combination of assessment methods, including essays and reports, presentations, tutorial exercises and group work. Some practical sessions will included to help you develop kinaesthetic skills. The variety of assessment methods used are designed to place emphasis on your ability to demonstrate the following cognitive skills: • Reason critically • Identify and solve problems • Analyse and interpret • Application of theoretical concepts You will be required to demonstrate these skills a number of times throughout the programme either individually or collectively. You will need to be aware that the development of these skills will be beneficial in terms of achieving Merit and Distinction grades in other modules studied.
