Course Summary

This course will provide you with knowledge and understanding of the core issues and principles in Health and Social Care. It will build on your existing knowledge and experience whilst developing and expanding your skills and practice. You will gain the skills required for work in the health and social care sector through mandatory work experience. You will also have access to our brand-new centre, due to open in 2022, with state-of-the-art facilities for your studies. Please note there may be additional costs for DBS checks and educational trips associated with this course. Students must have independently secured a work placement before they start their course.

You will cover a range of modules: • Law, Policy and Ethical Practice in Health and Social Care • Demonstrating Professional Principles and Values in Health and Social Care Practice • Supporting the Individual Journey through Integrated Health and Social Care • Fundamentals of Evidence-based Practice(Pearson-set Project) • Effective Reporting and Record-keeping in Health and Social Care Services • Supporting Individuals with Specific Needs • Sociological and Psychological Perspectives on Health
