Wrth ddewis astudio’r radd BA Cymraeg a Hanes Cymru ym Mhrifysgol Aberystwyth byddi’n rhannu dy amser rhwng dwy adran uchel iawn eu bri. Yn elfen Gymraeg y radd hon, cyflwynir cyrsiau deniadol, diddorol a pherthnasol i’n ffordd o weld Cymru a’r byd drwy’r Gymraeg.
Yn ystod dy gyfnod yn fyfyriwr yn yr adran Gymraeg hwn byddi’n cael dewis o amrywiaeth helaeth o fodiwlau sy’n rhychwantu ystod eang o ddiddordebau ac yn dod yn rhan naturiol o’r bwrlwm sy’n gysylltiedig â’r Adran. Cei dy ddysgu gan arbenigwyr sydd yn arloesi yn eu maes a byddi’n dilyn cwrs cyffrous a heriol. Wrth ddilyn elfen hanes y radd hon, cei gyfle i astudio amrywiaeth o gyfnodau hanesyddol a datblygu dy ddiddordebau hanesyddol, gan ehangu a dyfnhau dy wybodaeth a dy ddealltwriaeth o’r pwnc. Mae’r rhan fwyaf ohonom yn chwilfrydig am y gorffennol ac am y ffordd mae cymdeithas ddynol wedi esblygu dros amser. Yn ogystal â bod yn ddiddorol ynddo’i hun, mae astudio elfen o hanes yn cynnig gweledigaeth a all ein helpu i ddeall digwyddiadau’r byd sydd ohoni.
Bydd y radd hon yn dy alluogi i roi’r gorffennol mewn persbectif gan feithrin sgiliau dadansoddol dehongli a chyfathrebu, sydd mor bwysig mewn bywyd bob dydd. Mae Hanes wedi’i ddysgu yn Aberystwyth ers 1872, sy’n golygu mai ein hadran yw’r hynaf yng Nghymru ac un o’r blaenaf ym Mhrydain. Mae Hanes wedi’i ddysgu yn Aberystwyth ers 1872, sy’n golygu mai ein hadran yw’r hynaf yng Nghymru ac un o’r blaenaf ym Mhrydain. Fe’n graddiwyd yn uchel gan ein myfyrwyr yn yr Arolwg Blynyddol o Fyfyrwyr (NSS).
Mae ein meysydd pwnc yn amrywio o hanes cynnar i hanes modern, hanes gwleidyddol, hanes cymdeithasol, hanes economaidd a diwylliannol. Mae amrywiaeth hynod ddiddorol o cyrsiau unigol ar gael yn yr Adran, sy’n adlewyrchu diddordebau ymchwil diweddaraf ein darlithwyr: hanes ein llên a llenyddiaeth gyfoes, theori lenyddol, llenyddiaeth plant, llên gwerin, astudiaethau menywod ac astudiaethau rhywedd, ysgrifennu creadigol a sgriptio, cyweiriau a thafodieithoedd y Gymraeg, yr iaith mewn cyd-destunau proffesiynol, cyfieithu ac addasu, y Gymraeg a'r cyfryngau, cymdeithaseg yr iaith Gymraeg.
Mae’r cynllun gradd hwn yn cynnwys llwybrau Ail Iaith ac Iaith Gyntaf. Mae ein graddedigion wedi bod yn llwyddiannus yn sicrhau proffesiwn mewn llawer o feysydd gwahanol: Addysg; Y Gyfraith; Archifwyr; Cyhoeddwyr; Gwleidyddion; Gweision Sifil; Y Cyfryngau; Y Lluoedd Arfog; Entrepreneuriaid.
