This course provides a strong base knowledge of how the body works and how drugs can be used to treat disease. With additional study you could progress into Medicine and Dentistry.
Within this course students will engage in the study of the human body, how drugs work and are used to treat disease and how drugs can help to understand body functioning and the disease process with specialist subject options available in years 2 and 3. The course will provide students the opportunity to learn more about a range of disciplines including; pathophysiology, biochemistry, anatomy, cell biology and molecular biology. In addition students will develop their study skills in order to successfully engage within their lessons and an understanding of careers available within the field.
