Mae’r Adran Daearyddiaeth a Gwyddorau Daear wedi’i lleoli ar arfordir Bae Ceredigion ac wedi’i hamgylchynu gan amrywiaeth eang o dirweddau hardd, yn cynnwys y môr, gweundiroedd, mynyddoedd a glaswelltiroedd; mae hi mewn lle unigryw i wneud y gorau o’r tirweddau gwych sy’n ei hamgylchynu, ac yn cynnig amrywiaeth arbennig o gyfleoedd gwaith maes a hamdden i chi.
Mae’n gartref i gymuned frwdfrydig o fyfyrwyr ac ymchwilwyr sy’n rhannu’r nod o hybu dealltwriaeth ehangach o’r iaith Gymraeg, ei hanes, ei llenyddiaeth a’i lle yn y byd cyfoes a rhyngwladol. Iaith Gyntaf ac Ail Iaith – mae’r cynllun gradd hwn yn cynnwys llwybrau Ail Iaith ac Iaith Gyntaf. Bywyd Cymdetihas Cymraeg Byrlymus – Yn Aberystwyth gallwch fyw drwy gyfrwng y Gymraeg a mwynhau’r eflen gymdeithasol sydd i’r gymuned Gymraeg yma. Ymaelodwch ag UMCA, dewch i fyw yn neuadd Pantycelyn-Penbryn, ewch ar deithiau rygbi’r Geltaidd, ymunwch â chôr Pantycelyn, ac ewch i nosweithiau megis Gwobrau’r Selar.
Mae’r staff sy’n dysgu ar y cwrs yn arbenigwyr mewn meysydd amrywiol, ac o ganlyniad byddi’n gallu dewis o blith amrywiaeth eang o bynciau sy’n dy ddiddori. Bydd y radd hon yn eich arfogi â’r sgiliau, y galluoedd a’r arbenigedd i wynebu ac ymgysylltu â’r heriau sy’n wynebu’r gymdeithas sydd ohoni. Trwy achrediad cydnabyddir rhaglenni sy’n darparu’r wybodaeth, y ddealltwriaeth, y sgiliau, y dulliau a’r nodweddion proffesiynol daearyddol sy’n ddisgwyliedig gan raddedigion safonol ym maes daearyddiaeth, fel a gofnodwyd yn Natganiad Meincnod Pwnc yr ASA ar gyfer Daearyddiaeth.
