This course is designed for people who wish to, or currently work with children, young people and families from ages 0 -16 years, within children services. For those not already working within this environment there is a placement component providing the practical elements you will need to develop professional practice. The course covers a range of contemporary themes relating to children and young people such as curriculum development, marginalized groups, childhood, children's services, reflective practice and parenting. A central theme within the course is the voice of the child and how professionals and services can empower children to have good health and wellbeing. The placement component provides the opportunity to link theory and practice. This course is delivered by Burnley College.
