No two days within this career path are the same, you will need to be able to continuously asses and review mental, physical, cognitive, behavioural, spiritual and social needs to identify the priorities and requirements for evidence based, person-centred nursing interventions and support. **Why study at Buckinghamshire New University?** We've been running nursing programmes for many years and have a high rate of employability. Many of our students are employed by the trusts, hospitals or homes that they worked with during their time at the University. You will benefit from an excellent standard of teaching provided by staff from the University and practice, in partnership with our NHS Trust partners. As well as this you will be taught by lecturers who have a wide expertise in the field. Our lecturers also maintain close links with practice, ensuring that the programme is up-to-date with modern practice. You'll find the latest specialist facilities at our three campuses - from realistic manikin 'patients' to life-like simulated injuries that look incredibly realistic! Our purpose-built adult and child wards include real equipment just like hospital or community settings. We offer continuous support throughout the programme, both in the University and in practice. You will receive personal tutoring and benefit from a high level of research within the teaching team. You will also benefit from our annual one day inter-professional conference, focused on safeguarding. As well as this you will have the opportunity to put your learnt skills into practice through a range of clinical placements. We're renowned for the support we offer you while you are on placement. Members of the teaching staff are assigned to each clinical area and will visit you regularly whilst you are out in practice.
