**What will I study?**
On this programme, you'll:
- develop knowledge and understanding of key business foundation disciplines
- develop the ability to evaluate the range of activities within the key business functional areas and their interrelationship
- benefit from solving problems by clarifying complex questions, considering alternative solutions and critically evaluating outcomes
- be able to recognise the business, industrial and commercial context in which computer systems are deployed, with particular regard to their usability
- develop your ability to systematically and critically analyse and discriminate between options for various computer-based problems and devise appropriate solutions.
**How will I be taught and assessed?**
This course is offered as a four-year programme, including an initial Foundation Year. The Foundation Year will allow you to develop your academic study skills and build confidence in your abilities, identifying your own strengths and development needs for progression onto an undergraduate degree.
To make sure you have the latest knowledge, our academic staff keep themselves up-to-date. Most come from industry, and our links can give you practical experience of business life. Many of our staff are guest lecturers, conference speakers and content contributors so you’ll be learning from real leaders in their fields.
We also welcome a wealth of guest speakers; top professionals from across industry come to BNU to help you understand how your degree applies to working in business, and how you can learn from their experiences.
