This course is equivalent to the 3rd year of a degree (Level 3) and is available to those working in an educational setting who wish to 'top up' existing Level 1 and 2 credits, such as from a Foundation Degree. Applicants will need to have already completed 240 credits at level one and level two to embark upon this course which comprises 120 credits at level three. When combined this makes 360 credits and leads to an honours degree. The 240 credits need to have been gained through study on education related programmes. If students have relevant qualifications such as the required English, Maths and Science qualifications and achieve a minimum 2:2 degree, this honours degree is a relevant and potential route to primary qualified teacher status (QTS) through a range of postgraduate routes. It may also be a potential route to following Early Years Professional Status (EYPS) through appropriate postgraduate programmes.
