BA(Hons) Economics (with Foundation Year) is a modern applied course that focuses on applying the latest post-crisis economic theory to real and relevant problems. It's accredited by the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), giving valuable exemptions from professional exams. Our modules are informed by a pluralist approach to economic thinking and alternative schools of thought that are shaping economics. These include new-institutional economics, happiness economics, and evolutionary economics. Learning this way will give you a deeper understanding of real-world economic relationships and make you attractive to employers. Analyse numerous real-world issues, including irrational behaviour, how firms really operate, the cost of continued economic growth and sustainability, post-crisis banking, development and migration. Your analysis will include an integral pure mathematics strand.
