Course Summary

Top up your existing qualifications to an honours degree. The BA(Hons) Business Management and Economics (Top-up) is a one year programme equivalent to the final year of undergraduate study, and is aimed at students who have previously completed a relevant qualification, such as a Higher National Diploma, in the subject area. On successful completion of the course you will be awarded a full BA(Hons) degree. In an ever-changing global economy, combining business knowledge and skills with an understanding of economics is becoming increasingly significant. Studying these two areas together will broaden your knowledge, open up career paths and provide context when applying theory and practice to real-world businesses. You will gain skills in strategic business decision making, understand how to manage change and debate complex contemporary economic issues including the challenge of economic sustainability. Regular guest speakers and applied case studies will provide relevant and challenging context to broaden your understanding of contemporary business trends and issues. Graduates go on to careers in business and economic analysis, management and strategic business planning in both private and public sector organisations.
