Course Summary

The BSc (Hons) [Pre-registration] Nursing (Mental Health) programme focuses on the inclusion of service users and carers as an integral part of the delivery of the programme. This will ensure that person-centred recovery processes are addressed throughout the programme in the development of the student. The mental health field of practice modules will be further informed by critical engagement with current mental health agendas and developments. The programme is a three-year, full-time integrated and compulsory programme consisting of field of practice, generic and practice learning modules.

Standard Qualification Requirements

A minimum of 2 A levels

All level 3 credits must be at Distinction level. Nursing, Science or Health related pathway only will be considered (to include study of Physiology and Biology).

Health and Social care or Science only will be considered.

We will consider applicants who possess: A recognised and equivalent vocational, industry or professional qualification A recognised and equivalent qualification (examinations and experience) and apply following the Accredited Prior Learning procedure, Students must have min 12 months/max 18 months APL IELTS level of 7.0 (with a minimum of 7.0 in each element). Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check: All students will need to complete a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check upon acceptance of our offer of a place. Health check: all offers will be conditional upon a satisfactory Occupational Health clearance References: evidence of good character is required from 2 appropriate sources. Please note that the cost of both the DBS and Occupational health check will be covered by BPP University.
